U.S. Coast Guard Birthday Celebration

The port community is invited to attend this year's Coast Guard birthday celebration with Rear Adm. John “Jay” Vann as guest speaker at the Union League of Philadelphia. 

Rear Adm. Vann assumed duties as Deputy Commander, U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area in September 2025, overseeing all Coast Guard missions across a region spanning from the Rocky Mountains to the Arabian Gulf. He previously served as Commander of the Fifth District in Portsmouth, VA, leading nearly 3,000 personnel and operations across 1.4 million square miles of waterways and critical mid-Atlantic infrastructure.
