Description

Delaware River 101, the Maritime Exchange's general port awareness training, provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of our port as well as an entry point to the Delaware River maritime community. The half-day session is designed to educate new hires, long-standing members of the port community who may be unfamiliar with activities outside their own organizations, and even industry veterans interested in delving further into port operations. The program also benefits those only indirectly involved in the maritime industry, such as vendors and suppliers, who would like to learn more about our port and its commercial operations. Delaware River 101 provides a high-level view of a broad range of topics—including port governance, geography, and economic impacts, pilotage, vessel agency, customs brokerage, terminal operations, tug/barge operations, maritime cybersecurity, federal maritime governance and enforcement, and more—all led by speakers who are experts in their fields.
